she has decided that she has to pick her clothes and bad mother alert I am letting her.
do you think it is ok. she goes to an sn school where all the children /young adults are severly disabled some profoundly.
I see it as her taking control and a good thing.
am I bad parent()

Can she wear an approximation? My 2 older ones wore approximately the right clothes in their last year of primary. (I am considered a very bad mother there).

have been trying but she has just been crying at her wardrobe door. as she wants to wear black jeans tomorow. tbh I think it is good for her to choose and know that other parents don't stick to uniform.
she has cp so has no control on anything that happens so am proud of her.

As a bad mother I'd say black jeans are fine! (On a practical level are they OK for the loo in a hurry? I assume so or she wouldn't want them). She must find so many things frustrating, if the school is accepting of individuality that is fine! Will she wear the t shirt with Minnie Mouse on it too?

hi i think its great that she is making her own decisions and choices! thats what they encourage in schools to! my daughter attends a stf! she has global learning delay and i love it when she makes her own choices wether it be juice or milk or skirt or trousers, hair plaited or hair pony tail!

If she is like my dd1 the black jeans thing is an attempt to get a new top! Because people notice if you wear them with the top from a fortnight ago.
