Have two dc with asd and one is very destructive. He has no understanding thst he is damaging things and it is done more to remove things from his environment and for sensory and obsessive reasons. However I am at my wits end with the expense and worry. In just the last month he has broken an ipad a curtain pole stripped wallpaper and plaster from a wall removed part of a window casing and last night pulled down a light fitting. I had to turn off the electricity to all the lights due to danger of exposed wiring. Does anyone else have experience of this? It was lucky yesterday that he didnt kill himself.
