Thought I would not hijack tc's thread anymore.

We asked with dd1 when we had the anomaly scans at kings hospital after the fetal cardiac scans as we wanted to take something positive away.

I was sure dd1 was a girl too - and she eventually got in a position to reveal all. Funnily we could only agree on a girl's name for dd1 and her name was chosen before 20 weeks....

Dd2 - was not giving a thing away - she was cupping that groin area or legs crossed etc. Even at 36 weeks we could not see. That time round we had agreed on a boy's name and finally chose dd2's name the day before she was born from our list of many.

This time - we recycled the boy's name and have found a girl's name we liked after going through a number - so we will have to see.

I was convinced dd2 was a boy - just because everything felt so different from dd1 - d'uh dd1 pregnancy was different due to cardiac and DS!!

this time - probably another girl but who knows we could be in for a surprise..

Did you know with the others??

bump - I just saw on the other thread that you did not have a choice with the other two.

Our hospital trust where dd2 would have been born had we stayed in the UK had a policy of not saying what gender the babe was UNLESS there was a chance of a gender based condition that could be determined via scan iykwim.

see how you feel when you go on the day - we decided it would be nice to know if they could tell but really either way we are fine about it.

The sonographer then asked us if we would like to know.

YOu might decide when you get there you don't want to know and can wait to find out. I am too impatient. Dh would wait.

Can I join in as well? That was just getting interesting over there when you moved on me!

I've never wanted to know, been curious and semi felt like getting the woman to let the sex slip out (errrm, not sure I like how that sounds!) but D has always been really adament he doesn't want to know. He doesn't want me to know either because he'll know that I know and be all knowing and he really doesn't want to know before hand. However this time I'm thinking as it's no 3 it might be nice to know.

I don't think I'd know what to do with a boy and his bits after having 2 girls. I had a sister not a brother growing up, my neives sre girls. I really don't mind either way though.

Things are okay now but I've found it tough at times.

Empathise with you dealing with everything by yourself with your dh away. Bloody hard work.

are you feeling sick? or just tired?

well I am the tired at the other end where it is difficult to sleep and so you have to wake up to roll over and then it takes ages to go back to sleep and then you wake and start all over again.

I had a laugh yesterday - was at an AGM and was nursing the presidents 4week old foster son when another parent asked me how old my baby was I know it takes a while for the stomach to shrink back but bloody hell I am HUGE!! I would be horrified to still be this size after having the baby - let alone 4 weeks later.

Fio - you let slip that you needed a car for three - I was just smart enough to pick up on it unlike most others on the thread!!!

Ohh my lovely SIL is due around the same time as you as she is 12 weeks now.
