Does your child's diagnosis have clarity in it's wording?

e.g.

something like:

  1. Autistic Spectrum disorder (in a list format) or xxxx has asd

or more:

displays xxxxx, xxxxx, xxxx indicating a diagnosis of xxxxx

Ours reads DD "meets the criteria for a diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorder".

Ours is camhs based behaviour, maybe GOSH feeding clinic, salt feeding but probably not language based salt, out of area early bird (prob not) and parenting support. Always wrongly targeted, aside from feeding I'm not looking for it- whilst typically those who want it probably dont ! It's all hap hazard

Our diagnosing doctor told us AS is no longer a diagnostic condition and it fits under the umbrella of ASD.

Ds says

X was allocated to begin assessment in xxxxxx and the assessment was completed in xxxxxxx.
There have been a number of components including ADOS and questionnaires from home and school and observation.
This information was presented to a multi disaplinary team to determine if X met the criteria for an ASC.
The ASC assessment outcome agreed by the whole team was that X:

Meets the criteria for a diagnosis of autistic spectrum condition.

Attached to summary is an appendix which evidences how all the information gains through assessment matches the diagnostic criteria.
