Autism assessment - social interaction

My DD age 6 had an assessment for autism and they are concerned about her social interaction. She had speech delay and only started talking about a year ago. She will now be seen by a panel or a formal diagnosis.

She has one close friends at school and is friendly with the rest of the girls in her class. But am now thinking that she may not have other close friends as she lacks social skills. How can I help her? I don't know what to do. I thought she just got nervous speaking to people she didn't know because of speech delay.

We are in the uk. She only has a one hour session once a week with SEN teacher once a week to do activities related to classwork. A bit annoyed the school hasn't noticed it. I have always asked about her interaction with others.
