MrsF - howdy! Sorry, i have only just noticed this post...been getting all hot and bothered by some of the other posts going on!

Yes, socks - now, when was it you sent those socks to me - it must have been well over a year ago. Well, i found the envelope you had sent them in during a much needed de-cluttering session and in the spirit of getting rid, i cut the stamp off it (Guide dogs for the Blind) and went to rip the envelope in half. It was then that i found your notelet (with your name on the front) and your letter to me.

I was so touched that you bothered to include a note and sad that i didn't notice it all that time ago. So really, i just wanted to thank you very much (retrospectively). Of course ds has grown out of Thomas now, but i actually ran out of socks 2 weeks ago and put a pair on and they fitted! Wow, they are stretchy!

So a huge thanks for your lovely letter and a big sorry i got your news a year late. x
