Since demands have increased and she has started at new school my d's has started to hurt herself, biting and jabbing at her legs. She is covered in bruises on on of her legs and I am very upset and worried about this. The increase in demands is a good thing in many ways and the school are tackling things that need to be moved forward. However I obviously don't like to see my dd covered in bruises and I am also worried that if she attends any out of school activities the bruises will be viewed as abuse! What would you advise? I have raised it with the school and they acknowledge that it is happening and they are trying to prevent it.

She is 11. She is quite limited with communication. Mainly single words. She rarely does it at home. It seems to be when she is asked to do stuff she finds challenging. Food is an issue as she has v limited diet. When offered new food she can get v cross and then will do it.
