Autism & Ear defenders

Hi all

My yougest who is 4 has been diagnosed with Autism he is non verbal....he often cover his ears especially when we go out as he can't take the sounds. The school suggested that i try ear i bought some but he doesn't like putting them on. How can i get him to wear them whe the noise is to loud...any suggestions please???

Will he wear anything on his head?

Does he ever wear headphones to listen to telly/music?

No he doesnt sad he has his own tablet and watches without headphones

If it was me I would buy some Bluetooth headphones and have the sound from his tablet run through them and let him come to the conclusion "headphones are good" by himself and then move on from there.

my ds does have ear defenders but rarely wears them. we have tried all sorts of things to try and block out noise. his favorite are in ear head phones with a tablet.
