HFA, siblings and food!

Hi

This week's question about HFA (I'll calm down at some point!) is how to deal with food and HFA

DS1 and DD have around 4 meals that they'll agree to eat. I hate cooking and really really don't want to end up cooking 3 or 4 meals every night (which I can see happening if I do go down the road or cooking something new for DS2).

DP loves cooking but hates that the kids whinge because he puts herbs in his dinner when he tries to reproduce my cooking...

Any great hints on squaring this particular circle...? Or at least share my pain...

Make a big batch of what they like, then give them portions of that on days that the rest of you want to eat differently. That way you can eat more than 4 meals but the stress is minimal.

Batch cooking is good, or have an alternative that is very easy to prepare that you can offer if the main meal you've cooked isn't ok.
Eg my DD would always eat a peanut butter sandwich.
