Best trampoline

It's like the holy grail atm in our house.

I've searched through old MN threads and there is lots of praise for the jumpking and springfree. I like the springfree but can't spend £900 on a trampoline!

I think we will need a 12ft round (?) one and it will be for my twin 3 year olds. Any recommendations on trampolines you and your children have loved? Thanks.

We like the Bounce Away folding trampoline as we don't have much space. It's about 8ft and then folds up to about 2 ft wide. I saw some bigger folding ones but have no idea if they are good.... Hope someone comes along soon with some other ideas

We've had a supertramp one for about five years. It has been great. I think it is 12 foot diameter, round. My two are on it a lot, and I've been on it many, many times. I would recommend. I think it was in the region of £300, maybe a bit less. It was a present from their grandparents otherwise I would know.

Ours is a TP one, with the surroundsafe net. Means the springs are totally enclosed by the netting bit. We stick to one child at a time, so not having the pads for one to stand on while the other jumps was a bonus.

The first net we had the stitching on the zip was coming undone, however a new one was with us less than 24 hours after my phone call so I can't complain.

3 years in now, we need new foam to cover the poles, it's broken down in the sun. Net is still Ok but the green fabric round the springs is starting to look tatty so we may replace it this year.

Oh, and whatever you get pick up a tie down/anchor kit. Every winter we have a couple of reports locally of trampolines taking off in the wind.

We have a 12ft Jumpking one (which has so far seen 2 nets and think the spring mat will need replacing soon). Have read a review here www.trampoline-reviews.net/trampoline-reviews/sportspower-trampoline-reviews/ which was pretty damning although lots of 4/5 star reviews on Argos website and the Independent review of the 8ft one here was ok www.independent.co.uk/extras/indybest/outdoor-activity/8-best-trampolines-10215370.html. I was already to checkout with the Argos one but since our current 8ft one was damaged being blown about I hate to think of it happening with a 12ft - so if you go for it maybe get the anchors. Ours is to stand up to an enthusiastic wannabe gymnast and autistic nearly teenager so any ideas for a more sturdy but still affordable brand would be much appreciated.

The family fund will award trampolines if you meet the criteria.

Various other charities award grants towards them too, check Cerebra and Caudwell children to start with.
