Reward chart - asd ds always at the bottom

Hi
I'm feeling very very frustrated that my ds has been consistently at the bottom of the reward chart since starting reception. This morning, the difference was so stark - he was at the bottom with another child and all the kids were right at the top. He has aspergers. Teacher mentioned he has been copying bad behaviours of other kids and he gets hyper some afternoons. I know this is because he isn't eating properly at lunch time. I have told her a few times to inform me if some problem is persisting bit she left it a whole term to tell me about the copying. I think it's really humiliating for him and me. How should I tackle it? I'm thinking if asking them to remove his name until he is in a position to compete on the same basis but I guess this will make things worse. I'm really fed up of it. He has made massive progress with his social skills and is well behaved at home. I just understand that he can be so badly behaved that he is always at the bottom. Feeling upset and deflated.

Sorry last sentence should read "I just CAN'T understand that he would be so badly behaved.."

Perhaps I didn't phrase it in the best way. Im not embarrased by his behaviour but i feel bad fir him that he is being judged so publicly. It is shaming a child if they are persistently at bottom and I feel sad for him as I know he has made big improvements.

Does it bother him? I ask this not because its okay but it takes some pressure off if he doesn't mind. DS is 10 now but I remember those charts well and he was at the bottom and basically being 'lapped' by other kids. Made me feel awful but he didn't seem to care. I remember the teacher saying it was because he didn't quite finish tasks so he couldn't move on, which is ridiculous in hindsight.

That's shit

Ds1 has ADHD he is never going to get a happy face for sitting still and paying attention EVER....
After this was pointed out to his teacher that this was bothering him he now gets bumped up the board for 'jobs' he does in the class pencil sharpening/book tiding (he learns best when doing something else at the time.
Ds2 has ASD he was really upset at being on the sad face everyday, he now has a bucket and every time he does something without complaint (writing ot going to assembly) he gets a token when he gets 5 tokens he can swap for a sticker or 5minute run about in the playground .

Can you work with the teacher to find something that will work for him
