We have an ipad and it has been really useful for my son. He has communication problems and cant hold a pen and it has lots of good speech and language apps. What difficulties does your child have and what were you thinking about using it for?

Brilliant - ours is fantastic. An iPad mini is plenty big enough and cheaper and more portable. Get a good case - something like a griffin survivor (?) that is really robust.

Ipad has been amazing for my 4 year old with ASD. He likes cbeebies and learning to read and do maths apps which he can repeat as often as he needs to. Also good for choosing his own cbeebies programmes with iplayer because he can't say to us what he'd like to watch.
