The reason why they may not give them, could be something like the fact that they provide too much support, so don't allow the muscles to strengthen - in which case, wearing them could be detrimental to the wearer.
Has the orthotist advised what would be a good shoe to wear with the insoles?
When ds had small insoles, we were advised to get something like a Piedro, but softer and with less support - so something like a Kicker is a good style.
Now he has splints, and it is advised to have a shoe/trainer with little support, as the the splints provide the support.
i have try piedro Rehabilitation boots but were there there are to low on the ankle line to give me the full support that i need also i feeling even more support is need then Rehabilitation stiffens so i am now going to get the high stability boots i am going on holiday soon to disney world florida and will order then then as i can't get them in uk will there be to ok in the hot heat etc in florida
