I'm looking for suggestions and/or recommendations of specialist schools, for high functioning children of secondary age with academic ability which is just above average.

DS is diagnosed with asd-pda, dyslexia & adhd. I am looking in the North West area.

MS hasn't worked and he's been out of school for a long time Sad. He hates to stand out in MS but hasn't got the patience/tolerance for the lower functioning children Sad. Please don't think I'm/he's being awkward, it's more sensory related.

Any help really appreciated.

Where is he in the EHCP process? Have you had SS placements suggested to you by your case officer?

He's currently going through the he transfer to ehcp and draft is due in February.

'They' want to put him back into MS with a unit attached. However, we've already had a failed transition there as they showed early on they couldn't/weren't meeting his needs, despite saying how fantastic they were. He refuses to attend There at all now!

Looks like I'll be on the phone lots then - do you have any suggestions where to search special schools? Are there better sites to look at?
