That's lovely. We used to have this problem, but thanks to a friend who happened to work in a children's salon with DVD players set up for the children to watch while their hair was cut, DS got over it. He is still a little twitchy so I do mention his AS to hairdressers (no clippers please!) and every one has been understanding and happy to make allowances.

what a star eh? makes such a difference, I know when I took ds to my hair dresser she offered to do it up stairs in the her flat to be away from the sound of the dryers, (we ended up in the store room instead grin but it worked.... As poulter says it need not cost anything, just a bit of thought and flexibility
