Can anyone recommend a good geneticist in London?

Hi,

I am from Hong Kong. I have a 4 year old boy with some mild development issues. He's seeing a speech therapist for his articulation problems and a physiotherapist for his balance, proprioception and co-ordination problems. His PT thinks there is a chance that he might have dyspraxia and he is a little bit hypermobile. My GP who is originally from UK thinks it is worth taking him to see some specialist like a geneticist while visiting London, and apparently there isn't really anyone we can see here in HK.

I am just wondering can anyone please recommend a good geneticist in London or nearby who can see patients privately ? Specifically, has anyone seen Prof. Michael Patton? I came across his profile on the internet, and I know he sees patients privately.

Thanks a lot!!!
Susan

Don't know of anyone privately. I did look myself but couldn't see anything. I think it would be quite expensive too. Make sure you get a full micro array. Even relatively small issues can cause problems if on a key gene.

In the end all of us was tested on the nhs
