Anyone else struggling through the holidays?

Ds usually calms down during the holidays, fewer demands, more feral time etc.
This summer though, he's more violent, swearing more. I'm using PDA strategies left right and centre, we've had minimal outings (which make hints worse), but nothing's working. Feel like the shittest parent in the world, can't manage my three boys together.
Dd is getting out of it as much as she can, and frankly I don't blame her, I would too if I had half a chance.

No idea about hormones, it could be, but I hope not, he's only 10.
I can't work out what's going on, but he's so up and down its scary!
