Well today is the day. I'm quite nervous actually but I hope I get a good outcome after this.

Thanks everyone for answering my endless (repetitive) questions from these past few months leading up to tribunal. I really don't think I would of appealed DS statement if it wasn't for you guys and your incredible knowledge.

Wish my good luck. Grin

Hi everyone, thanks for your wishes.

Well I finished around 1pm.

I must say, the hearing went smoothly. It went ok. Amendments to part two, the LA represented agreed, but didn't agree to some aspects to part 3, we got to part 4 around 12.30pm. Shockingly the LA representative said the cost of the independent school was reasonable and there was no cost argument.
The LA represented was actually really nice, maybe I shouldn't of judged so quickly...

Anyway, I'm not being optimistic, I just have to wait now..

How bizarre! So effectively they agreed to your choice of school? Why let it go to tribunal if they are going to back down on the day!

Its such a waste of public money Sad

If they conceded on the day you are more likely to be awarded costs. So e LAs force all Indies to Tribunal to gain a reputation for doing that to put those behind off, even if they are planning to agree placement.

They will argue that though it wasted money, the waste was less than the money they'd be asked for should any families think they just agree.
