Extracurricular activities for 7 year old waiting for ASD assessment

My DD aged 7 is in Year 2 and waiting for an ASD assessment. I originally went to the GP suspecting ADHD/ADD but after initial Paediatric appointment sensory processing problems and autistic traits have been identified. This came as a total shock as DD is very verbal and imaginative and I have had to rethink what ASD actually can be.

Anyway, DD has tried a number of activities out of school and given the up after 6-12 months as she can't seem to focus and finds the pressure of having to perform and follow instructions too difficult. I feel really bad for putting her into a stressful situation but all the activities were things she nagged me to do. She was a seemingly very confident pre-schooler and it's only since starting school that her problems have become apparent.

So, do I totally limit or stop all activities? She is doing Brownies and even that isn't going well, and swimming/water polo (has her moments but generally going well). I was hoping activities would boost her confidence, and making up for lack of opportunities in my own childhood (I know, it's not about me). She's asking for keyboard lessons now and I really don't know if she'll cope with the discipline of learning an instrument. I can imagine her getting very frustrated.

Sorry for the ramble. I suffer from anxiety and suspect that I have some ASD traits myself. It would explain my own difficulties in childhood. I was hoping for my DC to have an easier time and it's breaks my heart to see my DD1 suffering. I want to give her the confidence I never had but taking her to activities has totally backfired.

PolterGoose thank you fore replying. I do feel the pressure to do the extra-curricular stuff, I think DD does too but she us too tired to participate. She's getting better at telling me what she needs and I need to listen. She loves rising her bike and roller skating so I am going to take her to the park more. She loves the outdoors.

She needs more and more down time as she gets older so I'll let her be and make sure she knows she can try something if she wants to.
