Hi,have been given ds's IEP to look at & sign and all of it is fine really and we're happy to scribble our names on the bottom.
My sticking point is the 'target' for ds and soiling. He is not in control of this and quite obviously we have done everything we can to help ds with this, inc speaking to gp,I'm not sure that I want to sign for targets which ds really can't control- it's pointless.
School are fairly good, they are terribly caring but grumpy when challenged.
So:
A- sign the bastard bit of paper because it really doesn't make the slightest difference.
B- go back and talk to school and explain again that it is not the same as poor handwriting or needing to learn all your tables.
What would you do?
(ds has sensory difficulties and asc traits and is bloody awesome)
