Dyslexia Action anyone?

hi I used them to see my dd as we though she had dyslexia which she did indeed have. cost £500 with an EP so they just did the WIAT and WISC and other tests as well to decide she had dyslexia. my only concern would be is if the other EP has already done the tests that dyslexia action would do

What did the EP report say? What assessments have already been done?

The price for the DAction assessment is a lot if you don't need it. For your money your child will receive a 2 hour ish assessment covering:
Cognitive assessment
Literacy assessment - reading, writing, phonics.

Potentially a diagnosis but not necessarily.

Then a list of recommendations. Some generic and a few personalised.

Follow up specialist teaching is also offered if necessary.

Seem a nice organisation to deal with.

Contact the EP who wrote the report and ask them to clarify if your daughter is dyslexic and if not what the cause of her difficulties are. It's totally acceptable for you to do that.

I agree with sazale ask the EP flowers

Dont spend a load of money for something that could be sorted by a change of wording on a report!
