He was in hospital all last week. Seems completely fine now but I'm in bits worrying that they won't give him enough fluids, won't be watching him enough, won't manage to make sure he takes it easy...

I am being ridiculous. But just wanted to tell someone who won't laugh at me.

You're not being ridiculous. It's a realistic possibility that they won't be taking enough care, so you're bound to worry. I would, definitely.

Can you phone at lunch time and check how he is? Just to put your mind at rest?

Greenbootsbell Mon 01-Dec-14 12:35:23

Definitely not being ridiculous
Agree with streaky - give them a call

Won't they think I'm being daft ringing? I've just missed a call on my house phone from a with held number, and although I know school have my mobile and I know their number shows up when they ring, I'm still paranoid it could be them

Hurr1cane Mon 01-Dec-14 12:40:55

I rang and apparently he is fine.

Still don't trust them though wink I'm so overly paranoid about him when he's ill

streakybacon Mon 01-Dec-14 13:01:06

I suspect you have good reason for not trusting them, in which case you're not being paranoid at all, but realistic and practical. He's your child, you want him to be safe - nothing daft about that.

Glad he's ok smile.

You are doing brilliantly. The first time I left dd at school, I threw up I was so scared.

Experience it. Own the feeling. Learn to live with it.

Honk honk
