DS13 ate a sandwich today for the first time. So happy!

Its such a little thing, but I am so pleased. I have tried numerous types of sandwich over the years and he can't bear the different textures of the bread and the filling. I heard about Tesco doing jars of custard cream spread and bought one. DS loves custard creams. He ate it as a snack when he got home from school. It may not be the most healthy sandwich ever, but he is whip thin and can afford to have a bit of extra sugar.

Wow! Good idea. My ds is a nightmare with texture. Unfortunately he likes all the unhealthy textures as he hates chewy things.

That's fab. It is a massive relief to find something they will eat.

It's not a little thing. It's massive. I remember when my DD first managed to eat a sandwich. It was amazing and now makes meal times so much easier. For my DD it was a developmental thing so a bit different to you, but I am with you on how brilliant it is! Well done both of you!!
