How often is DLA reviewed?

Hello, I am just wondering how often DLA is reviewed? DS has been getting middle rate since he was diagnosed with ASD and verbal dyspraxia just after his third birthday. He's now 4 and a bit. Thanks

It should say on your award letter. DS got his awarded age 5 for 2 years. We renewed age 7 and he's been awarded it until he's 15. I think it depends on what rates you are awarded but when i've asked at my local ASD group every seems to have different timescales.

We were awarded ours for 2 years (DD is 5) so I think the review will come after that. It was stated on the letter.

DS2 got his for a year the first time (when he was a baby), then 3 years, then 5 years. DS4 got his for 4 years. I think young children and children without a diagnosis are more likely to get a shorter award as their needs are more likely to change.
