DH just gone to hand deliver the bundle to the LA - all 300 pages of it and ive heard nothing at all from the LA. Theres been nothing in the post today, no emails and im guessing I wont get any as they have said they wont send me emails as not secure 9didnt stop them last year letting their solicitor sending it all to me by email) and I doubt I wil get a 'visit' as usually I get phone calls first

so maybe that's it - there is nothing more come. DH has just text me to say 'the eagle has landed' so that it - 2 weeks of late night,. stress and worry and now we wait for the next stage....

senco asked me today when I picked my dd up for an appointment what my OT report had concluded - I mentioned it states she has hypermobility in her fingers so she asked me 'what's that?'

I thought there were things the la was required to file? You need to watch out for copies of emails sent to sendist at 4:59. Smile

no - nothing at this stage the LA have to file - its just all final evidence to be filed so if they have no further evidence then I guess there will be nothing coming but I cant believe that theres nothing - but they have said they wont email due to security and obviously after the warning about them keep coming to my home they said everything would come in the post - I guess theres a chance its missing in the post but you would think they would get it delivered with a signature needed.

there is a real chance that they do have nothing though. I can hear them now choking on their coffee when they get my bundle with all the reports in. La have not one single report - nothing

I don't know about refusal to assess but when appealing 2, 3 and 4 LA filed about 6 reports from all sorts - specialist teachers, recent teacher reports etc that were invisible until 4:59 on final evidence deadline. But nearly time now Smile

now to have a little bet with myself as to how long before my phone starts ringing inviting me for a 'meeting' to discuss things - shame that from tomorrow with my kids being in so many schools my half term will last 3 weeks so im unavailable as will have no childcare. im surprised theres nothing still - expected them to serve the latest NC levels on me and the letter I sent to school about the EP coming in but nothing unless they have posted it and it will come tomorrow

Well done for getting it all it in. The run up to deadline is a nightmare and very stressful. But that's it. Although I wouldn't put it past them to try to file something after the deadline or go for an extension.

My LA filed for an extension to the deadline in the final minutes - my solicitor retaliated by going for strikeout. LA conceded two days later. Although in all my recent complaints to the LGO, the LA said they didn't actually need the extension because they'd already decided to assess on evidence deadline anyway Hmm (if you believe that, you'll believe anything!)

im expecting them to try and get it postponed cos of the reports in the final evidence = OT and SALT, I never told them I was getting a salt report and she was assessed at a weekend so was able to go under the radar.

took dd for audiology appointment to day - LA had been saying the spelling of her words to them looked like she had a hearing loss. told them not to be so ridiculous - she spells them as she has difficulties phonologically and they backed down - god knows which bright spark in the sen team came up with that idea - clearly they are clutching at straws. anyway today her hearing was deemed to be crystal clear , absolutely no hearing difficulties whatsoever and we were in and out in 5 minutes and came home and made a huge chocolate cake together. it was killing the senco today not knowing where I was taking her - I just said it was a hospital appointment and also didn't tell dd where she was going either cos she likes to blab!!!!

Hearing test is suggested as a result of DC not following instructions - why suggest it otherwise? Step by step approach. Evidence of an underlying problem. If not hearing problem, what next.

Oh I was hoping this was you. I'm intrigued by what is going to happen next.

As well as very very sorry that you're being put through this nonsense.

Ah, just read it now.

What utter bastard they are. Waste of bloody time and resources and a nightmare for you, and you'll win only what your child was entitled to all along!!
