Does anyone else get this with an autistic child?
or could it be that It could be we are under difficult circumstances (I cant go into details) and it may be shes doing this as a safe haven and comfort.?
shes 13 and decided to sleep with her pink teddy bear she had since a baby again, shes back to wanting to wath cbiebees, in the night garden and the rest, (she was ibto CBBC and Boomerang a while back) and we'd put her Barbies away in a box and she wants to play with them again.
shes always had toileting probs but shes messing more than ever.
and using baby language and sounds and being all clingy. shes normally clingy but even more so.
shes been scratching on the kitchen table with her knife (a normal knife) so ive had to give her plastic cutlery and plates again.
im riding it out atm as shes obv comforted by all this and I don't like her to be stressed and meltdowns but should I be concerned?
and CAHMS/soc services and OT are aware of this yet not doing anything to help.
shes homeschooled and regressing back to ABC type books again. shes been doing brilliantly with HE till then. and shes HEd cos of her disabilities that schools couldn't meet.
