Great news! DS' statement dropped through the letterbox today. At a first glance it seems ok but needs a little bit of tightening in Part 3.

Good news indeed!

You nee to ensure though that both Parts 2 and 3 of this document are bang on. You need to see provision that is both specified and quantified; anything less that this (for instance child may have access to...) must be rejected by you.

If unsure keep posting here and speak to IPSEA //www.ipsea.org.uk

Well done. At least not all assessments are resulting in a NILSmile

Is this for m/s? If so, do you mind me asking how many hours are proposed? My LA have introduced pre-statutory top-up which they use to only 'need' to make 25 + hours a week statutory. Ie DC who do not need more than 25 hours support each week don't need a statement.

well done Smile good luck with the meeting, if it is anything like mune was you will need it!
keep dd has a 27 hour statement and LA top up 6.5k, the school fund the first 10k.

sorry should have added that its a ms statement.
also the statement should be provided if the child needs one rather than funding arrangements. you can get a statement that doesnt come with any additional funding from LA.

We have a choice of schools but as we thought we would be fighting for the statement for months we are now having to have a serious think. The hours aren't actually specified which is why we need to have a meeting. We wouldn't need them specified at the SS because there are only six in the class with two TAs.

Fx for my SA refusal buddy 2boys - of course he won't end up in young offenders.
