Ds (3.7) loves swinging, we have a tp swing frame, with a baby swing and a flat swing seat suitable for his older sisters. Ds has outgrown the baby seat, but can't support himself on a flat seat, does anyone have any recommendations for suitable seats, that we might be able to get for his birthday.

Thankyou!

Hi we have the supportive swing seat from tfh for DD who has low muscle tone. We have hung it in our own swing frame. It's great.

Does your ds like the bucket swings? The ones that are a huge net swing that curves around and they can sprawl across iyswim? It's great for children with limited core stability and also would fit all 3 dcs on so would give them social time together.

Thankyou.

Toots, that is the sort I think we will go for, thankyou. I'm hoping it will fit on the frame we have now. Do you know what age the child size goes up to?

Youarewinning, ds will go in those in playgrounds, but he much prefers the traditional swings, I think he prefers the backwards and forwards motion, whereas the round ones are a bit more erratic, so he tends to cling on looking terrified!

Have you considered a boat swing? We also have a TP frame and got the boat swing so that our younger DC could climb in and out themselves and as we have fixed it so low to the ground I'm not as worried if they did fall out.

Hazey, I'm not sure of the exact age but it's pretty big, dd is 3 and tall and I think it will do her for many many years! It comes with a harness now, it's different to the pic on the website..it's great for DD she loves the swing.
But today I have stumbled across these brilliant seat insert type things from a company called firefly, it's called a "goto2". It looks like they work in swings to add extra support? I'm not sure how as I've only seen them on the web but it might be worth looking into?
