Hello Everyone,

Can you please name the good OT & SALT for me. I need OT
& SALT to do full assesment on my little boy who is on part home programme. The assesment will be in school and home.

The report is going to supoort me with LEA neogiation with funding and in the tribunal.

I live in Cardiff but willing to pay for expenses.

Please do not give me the one for Skybound because I already queried them for that. I thought to have someone else than Skybound because they are too close to my consultant and I really don't want LEA to say something about this. ( My consultant use to work for them)

Many thanks All

If you can travel to London it's worth seeing Jackie Harland (SALT) at the London Clinic. We got an independent report for her for our appeal (for ABA), she is very very good, and knowledgable about ABA and how it works successfully with SALT programmes - particularly positive about how SALT & ABA can work together on social communication targets. I really recommend her.

If you're on the ABA yahoo group it's worth asking there too.

Baily, is the children's practice good? I have heard they are very commercial?

Apologies for hijacking the thread Rae.

If you think Risca will make your case stronger, I dont think the 'closeness' should matter..

sa we only saw Jackie Harland there, so don't really know about the practice as a whole. It is in Harley St with relatively swish offices, so I guess they do pretty well financially! But she was really good, and I was recommended to her because of the ABA issue.

Nicole Saunders is an ABA friendly salt too. Again, Harley street

I'd go with Skybound simply cos the others mentioned are all English & I've noticed Welsh LA's can sometimes be a wee bit predjudiced against non-native professional opinions. (not all the time, but enough that it's worth factoring in if you want to try and keep negotiations as friendly as possible despite the adversarial nature of the whole Tribunal process)

Thank you so much everyone for your kind answer. I think I will go back to Risca for this. A lot of people in Yahoo group said that too about "Closeness" It shouldn't be matter whether my consultant was working there or not.

TBH, I asked about the fees from many places and it is so expensive. The cost that they gave me were more dobble from Skybound because of the cost of travelling cost. The travelling cost alone was £300-£400 !!!

Thanks all
