I could do with a few honks please, bluechick in hospital

Bluechick is in hospital again, possibly serious, possibly 'merely' an extreme reaction to something that shouldn't be serious.

Just need a few honks, I am drained and thought we were losing her last night.

Sorry to be self indulgent, but this goose needs the strength of others for a bit.

thinking of you all, and hoping you get some good news. Is there anything you need/can be done for you?

do you have any answers as to what might have happened? has bluechick stabilised? (do you even want to answer these questions? don't, if you don't want to!)

vent away, I am here and reading.

Honks and hugs. My DD wound up in PICU just before Christmas and it was like living in a nightmare. Hoping (a lot) today is a better day xxx

Gosh, what a lot of messages, thanks all.

Thank goodness it's looking like the lesser of two evils, an extreme reaction rather than an underlying nasty thing - sorry to be cryptic but don't want to give any identifying details away. She is much brighter this afternoon poor little thing.

I'm ok now, just shaken.

I thought having children was meant to be fun. Confused No-one told me about the soul-crunching fear.

I'm not surprised you're shaken; we've been in intensive care twice with my DD (not including stint after birth) and lost count of other admissions, and the fear/anxiety is just crippling. I hope you've all got some support and people to help RL things ticking over whilst you stay strong with bluechick. Just take it all hour by hour, take up any offers of help and keep thinking of all the happy times with bluechick you've had and those to come x
