Wish me luck. LA is evidence gathering so today DC has yet another assessment. I have run out of fingers to count the number of assessments he has had in the last year. As most are time barred, it will be interesting to see exactly how they are going to 'assess' him.

To be fair, the LA professional bods have been excellent. It's just the pen-pushing lying vindictive bureaucrats in their ivory towers who then cherry-pick the reports and leave out key words and recommendations.

DS refusing to get dressed. If needs be, he will go in PJs.

Good luck Smile

Who is it today? DS1 had 10 assessments in 10 months in the run-up to tribunal.

Our LA assessments were actually extremely helpful - esp as the LA had to get an indi SALT and so had to include her recommedations. The worse one was the LA EP but his report never made it into the WD. I think by then they were rather scraping the barrel to find fresh assessments.

All done. It went as well as could be expected. DS reasonably compliant but ADHD kicked in big time.

I ended up blubbing and told LA EP the entire story including exactly how vengeful and spiteful the LA have been. She listened horrified. It is amazing how little the LA professionals know what goes on with the pen-pushers. They do just the assessments. Us, the poor parents, have to cope with it all - the child, the failure of the school, the diagnosis, the assessments, the battle, the vengeful bureaucrats, the legalities, the home education. The 'system' stinks. All I want is for my son to have a school education that he can access.

Glass of wine for me tonight!
