Tribunal result.

I am just so relieved to finally have the decision. It was delayed a long time as we had to have written final submissions due to running out of time at the hearing, and then they took over 3 weeks after they were submitted to make a decision - so in all over 5 weeks now since our hearing. Anyway, DD has been awarded the placement at the indi specialist school we wanted and the OT and SALT support that we asked for too.

Am sad that LAs can still put parents through this hell with no penalties really there for the messing about that they create with their blanket refusals and attempts to stop parents even trying. We started the SA process 2 years ago and have had to appeal every step of the way, though only needed one tribunal hearing in that as the LA backed down at the other appeals in the end.

Keep going those of you who haven't had the right support in place yet, follow the steps, collect the evidence and keep on going even on the bad days.

That fantastic well done you. I thinks I would have gone mad if I had had to appeal at every stage.

Thank you. We told her after school today and she was so happy - this is what she wanted too which is a huge bonus.
