London zoo special weekend

hazeyjane Wed 03-Apr-13 22:06:51

We are going on the Sunday, can't wait!

SallyBear Thu 04-Apr-13 08:20:10

Still to book the tickets but I'm hoping for the Sunday too. DH back from
Moscow on the Saturday so I'm hoping that he won't be too knackered for it, as he's driving!

hazeyjane Thu 04-Apr-13 08:24:45

I hope you can go SallyBear, it would be lovely to meet up quickly to say hello in rl!

SallyBear Thu 04-Apr-13 08:40:06

Absolutely! It's nice to meet other MN in RL. I had ninja here yesterday for the afternoon as her heating had packed up last week, so they drove up for a change of scene and some warmth!

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission Thu 04-Apr-13 10:58:18

much appreciated it was too sallybear and lovely to meet you all grin I'd like to go but the kids now have a band thing on that sunday, I'm secretly hoping it gets cancelled but I doubt it

SallyBear Thu 04-Apr-13 11:18:06

Bummer Ninja! <hoping that the band is cancelled too!>

Dinkysmummy Thu 04-Apr-13 12:10:44

I'm hoping to come on the sunday grin

That sucks ninja...

hazeyjane Thu 04-Apr-13 15:49:34

I feel like we should wear carrot boutonnières!

SallyBear Thu 04-Apr-13 15:54:18

I don't think mine would make it, as DS4 will have munched it up by the time we got to a meet up point! You know what I look like Hazey - harassed looking mother with 4dc and an exhausted husband!

zumbaleena Thu 25-Apr-13 11:20:09

am going on sunday too! dudesdummy...let us meet up finally

salondon Thu 25-Apr-13 12:05:53

When booking the tickets, Would one adult be classed as 'carer'?

CouthySaysEatChoccyEggs Thu 25-Apr-13 12:12:24

Ooh. Shame it's London Zoo, Colchester Zoo is really near me. Will take done consideration...

theDudesmummy Thu 25-Apr-13 16:41:07

Zumba Yes that would be nice, PM me closer to the time and we can arrange to meet. Or just look for a short tired old woman with a tall husband and a cute blond child who is probably running away from us!

salondon Fri 26-Apr-13 08:54:09

Zumba, Dude's mum - We are probably going on saturday. Have you bought the tickets? I cant figure out what does "carer" over there means

PolterGoose Fri 26-Apr-13 09:23:30

carer is YOU. so pay 21 gbp for me, dd and hubby when me is the carer. what proof do we need to show that dd is asd cos' she definitely does not look one now????

theDudesmummy Fri 26-Apr-13 12:23:15

We have a blue badge so will take that. Having said that, when we recently went to the London Aquarium, where carer also goes in free, they did not even ask to see the badge (although they could quite easily see a wriggly and quite loud small person trying continually to escape from my grasp as I explained that we could not stand in the queue etc!).

One of our tutors recently took DS to the London Zoo just for an hour just to familiarise him with the environment (he is always better the second time around in any new place!), it worked quite well and they were let in free.
