Anyone fancy a meetup @ the Science Museum sometime in the next fortnight?

Open to suggestions for other venues as the weather is still so grotty.

We are planning to go, do have a date in mind?

bochead Thu 28-Mar-13 19:25:21

Other than the Easter weekend itself I'm totally open to suggestions.

How about Wed 3rd April, there is a coach load from our local National Autistic Society going?

bochead Thu 28-Mar-13 20:00:29

Wed 3rd April it is then.

I'll bring along the infamous carrot wink

Fabulous I can't wait to meet you and your DS. Has he got siblings? Mine has one.

The coach will drop-off at the Museums at approx. 10.30am (traffic permitting).

We are trying to arrange for the Museums to give preferential entry to us if there are long entrance queues, but we cannot guarantee it at this stage. I'm sure you would be able to tag along with us.

There will be an information sheet giving full details given out on the coach on the day. So not too sure at the moment what to say, do, I will try to find out in advance. I am sure you can't miss us with all the ticks, flapping and noises ect. As well as NAS T-shirts.

I'll bring along the a carrot too then.

Just found out that DC's have probably been infected with chickenpox. Sigh. Won't know until Tuesday (a week after exposure right?) but if we've dodged the bullet, I may well bring DD along.

Of course the one time Mog meets another child she actually wants to play with, the little so and so turns out to have chickenpox.

Mummytomog the incubation period for chicken pox is 10-21 days I'm afraid so it will be a couple of weeks more until you can be sure of having dodged it (or having got it). here

Dreamstosell Sat 30-Mar-13 15:43:59

Although apparently a child is only infectious for 1-2 days before the spots appear. Did the child she was playing with have the spots already or was it a few days before they appeared? In which case the child may not actually have been infectious when you were there (hopeful)

MummytoMog Sat 30-Mar-13 18:12:11

Buggrit. Played with child Tuesday night, got phone call on Friday to say they had spots. Hoping they don't have it, but bit fatalistic that they probably do. Not me then, don't want to pass on any lurgy.

Dreamstosell Sat 30-Mar-13 19:25:29

To be honest if the other child's spots only came out on Friday they probably weren't infectious on Tuesday.

Me neither, can't change my plans. Love to meet another time though?

CouthySaysEatChoccyEggs Mon 01-Apr-13 12:23:20

I'm actually considering this. With all 4 DC's. All somewhere on the Spectrum. On my own. On a train. Unsure whether I'm being brave, mad, or stupid...grinwink

CouthySaysEatChoccyEggs Mon 01-Apr-13 12:26:10

I will be the one with masses of brown hair, 4 DC's - DS3 will be on a black baby jogger with curly ginger hair!!

It would be great to meet some of you, I've never made a meet-up before!!

SallyBear Tue 02-Apr-13 07:52:39

I would love to go but we have an audiology appointment. Hoping to make the London Zoo SN weekend with my four.

CouthySaysEatChoccyEggs Tue 02-Apr-13 22:26:44

I have packed lunches, gone through the journey plan eleventy million times with the DC's, clothes ready, and tomorrow night's dinner cooked ready to hear through sitting in the fridge.

I'm ready to be brave!!
