Dla refused for ds

Basically my ds had dla from 6 months to age 3 for severe chest problems he was tested for cf and has had over 40 chest infections since birth not including 4 already this year alone, anyway they stopped his dla on his 3rd birthday I asked for a reconsideration still no. To add to the troubles he is now starting dx process for possible aspergers and he has huge sensory issues, sensory seeks so appears hyper, he goes to bed but doesn't stay asleep therefore needing supervision at night, he wakes frequently coughing so much that he vomits and gets so stressed he gives himself nose bleeds, he is awaiting community paed, OT, a play therapist, salt and also sees orthotics as he toe walks, his muscles are very tight and wakes up with cramps, he also gets breathless thru being hyper and refuses to walk, recently a short shopping trip resulted in a trip to docs and him being nebuliser he is seeing his respiratory paed in April as they are worried about the amount of steroids he's had.

Anyway as title says Dla refused his claim, where can I get help with reconsideration? I thought it was needs not diagnosis based they didn't even bother writing to his gp it's a joke. Tia

As he is awaiting appointments I just sent appointment letters as that's all I had I gave details how to contact physio and hv and gp but they didn't bother to investigate? I know I can ask for recon on the phone when I get the letter but I doubt I will get anywhere, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place as hubby earns just enough to keep us on a little bit of tax credits and I was supposed to go back to work 3 days a week but due to ds not being able to cope with full days at childcare (nursery stated this not me) he has had to do 3 hours in the mornings and he won't go with anyone else. I would love to be able to care for him properly and pay for sensory toys for him but dla make it impossible.

Cerebra have a free lending library for toys and books? They send one toy out for a month at a time www.cerebra.org.uk/English/gethelp/library/Pages/default.aspx

(DLA guide for when you appeal: www.cerebra.org.uk/English/getinformation/publications/Pages/DLAGuide.aspx )
