With all the crocheters here, we can manufacture our own carrots grin

Crochet is something else I can't do. It hurts my wrists far too much.

NinjaGoose I'm in a group on Ravelry where most of us have joint problems and rattle! It wasn't even an intentional grouping along those lines - most of us have had diagnoses since we got together.

Oo, I've recently joined Ravelry and the Little Hugs group.

DS's first ever imaginitive play was inspired by the sock monkey I made as a cheap stocking filler for Xmas 2012. He was 7. It sparked a bit of a playground craze. I think it's the very simple huge smile and button eyes of the features that he liked.

Worth considering for others grappling with social imagination as it's so rare to get any SN aides that don't cost a fortune? (I get the socks from Primark as they do a range of nice stripey ones with heels and toes). I was over the moon as I'd given up hope in this area at that point.

I like sewing/fabric painting but will leave the knitting and crochet at the door, having had several goes over the years.

ouryve, oooh I'm on ravelry too, finally got round to it a few months back, which group if you're up for a new member? I seem to lose a lot of time on ravelry grin I wondered why I got taken off the diclofenac, I have vague dx of disc and hip issues thanks to my useless gp!

ellenjane, me too grin

bochead, fab idea smile there's some good stitch by stitch guides on youtube if you ever fancy getting the wool out again

Galena Sat 16-Mar-13 17:53:22

Finished! grin So glad that's done... I've also survived a 4-year old's party this afternoon where there were a million children and one bouncy castle... DD coped really well until the last 10 minutes when she bounced head-first off the side of the bouncy castle onto a wooden floor, and also decided she couldn't cope with the number of children and the noise...

I now have wine

smile Bit miffed with DH though. Before we went to the party I told him he could take over with DD once we were home, so I got a chance to chill out. we got home at the time he expected us, and he was halfway through replacing the tap. So not only was I looking after her, I was also cooking her dinner... I don't think he understood why I was grumpy...

hazeyjane Sat 16-Mar-13 19:40:10

I will definitely be crocheting that carrot!

Absolutely knackered here, ds was up fo half the night, so I was up at about 3am this morning. I went back to bed for an hour this morning, but I think I am coming down with something, so feel rubbish.

hazeyjane Sat 16-Mar-13 19:41:40

Highlight of the day was ds being able to sit in a real life fire engine, that was at a science fair we went to. I have never seen anyone quite so happy. smile

NoHaudinMaWheest Sat 16-Mar-13 20:01:48

Oh great to the fire engine Hazey.

Galena Now why should you be grumpy after all you were at a party, weren't you? grin. Dh does things like this 'oh ME look after them'.

Dh does usually do tea on Sat, nearly always pasta. This week he had bought a different kind.
Ds: Why is this pasta a different colour?
Dh: Because its a different kind.
Ds: Why did you get a different kind?
Dh: Just for a change.
Ds: I don't do 'just for a change.'

It's the Chocolate Teapot, NinjaGoose

If I'm not here, I'm often to be found on Ravelry, somewhere blush

grin At "I don't do just for a change".

Sounds like my house...

Galena Sun 17-Mar-13 09:21:05

He can look after, just chooses not to - and then claims that I'm much better with her than me which is why he leaves me to it...

He'll get a shock to the system next weekend... I'm away from before she wakes up on Saturday until after she's in bed on Sunday! grin

I'm stewarding at a community choir festival, and spending the night in a yurt!
