As those of you who have read posts I've done previously will know, dinky and I have been in a hostel for 11 months.

Well, today I got a phone call WE HAVE GOT A HOUSE!! grin grin grin

Just thought I'd share some good news... So dinky will be able to leave the school that doesn't want her, and have a fresh start!

Over the moon grin

Thanks a lot everyone... I am so happy! Dinky is very happy too (once I mentioned not having to move again afterwards!).

Mareeya lol, by the time she leaves it will be a good thing otherwise I think I would have turned in to the hulk at the rate they were going! wink

insanity To be honest I think this other school will probably suit us better (mutton dressed as lamb comes to mind with current school!).

Thanks again for all your good luck and best wishes! grin

Now it's just packing confused lol

Great news FWIW dd goes to a school in a very deprived area rather than the village school which sounds a lot like Dinky's first school. It's a lovely school with a really inclusive approach. Ok some of the parents in the playground look scary but they all seem to want the best for their children as well.
So pleased for you and Dinky,

Great news.

Good job you're moving schools
"Of course dinky is behind, it's the shock of leaving B&B,
and how are you managing with all the housework and bills,
[passive aggressive]
how much transferred anxiety is she getting ATM?"

Great news. Sounds like a good new start for you and Dinky.
Tell us when you move in and we will have a virtual MNSN special house-warming party for you.

Dinkysmummy Fri 01-Mar-13 19:30:20

I totally agree Ellen

I went to see another school (not the one dinky will go to but another not so popular area), it seemed so much friendlier and every class had a LSA up to year 6 with added TA for early years and 3 floating LSA shock
They had a fantastic outside woodland area and I visited every classroom up to year 2 and every class said hello and nearly every teacher said "bring her here" when they found out I was looking at two schools.
The pastoral support teacher was lovely and it is certainly not the type of welcome you would get at dinkys current school!

Lesson learned!

I can't wait to visit dinkys new school on Monday! grin

EllenJaneisstillnotmyname Fri 01-Mar-13 19:18:29

I hope your new school is much more sympathetic and inclusive. smile One thing I've learnt from MNSN is that leafy, suburban schools aren't always the best for any sort of SN.

LadyMaryQuiteContrary Fri 01-Mar-13 19:15:56

That's amazing! I'm so very happy for you all. smile thanks
