I want us all to give ourselves a pat on the back.
People often ask me where I get my knowledge from, I do read quite a lot but I can honestly say most of what I know comes from this board.

I cant imagine how I coped without the support I get off this board. I dont get alot in RL but I know I will always get it on here.

I just needed to say that Grin

Honk! I woukd have fallen apart if it were not for you lot.

A recent pasting in AIBU reminded me how little our experiences can be understood but others and that few in RL woukd believe some of my stories.

Yes, you lot are bloody amazing. The school I work in has a motto- "together we can" and I thnik it's a motto we should adopt, because on here, together we can and we bloody well do.
I am stronger because of you, yes all of you! HONK HONK.xxxx

Thanks for this thread, it's nice to celebrate the camaraderie of our board. It's been a tough few weeks on MNSN, it seems, and while we can be a bit prickly sometimes Wink I really value the friendship and empathy from you all.

HONK

Yep a very very BIG thank you to all of you.
It's this board that made me realized the issue with ds2, this board that kindly confirmed that I wasn't going crazy, this board that gave the best advice re GP, CAMHS, going private. And this board that was able to explain me what I could expect help wise from the school.

I know for a fact that wo MN and MNSN, ds2 would still the shy boy that doesn't make a fuss and wouldn't be getting any support at all.

At least now the ball is rolling.

So THANK YOU ALL.

It is indeed a great board and so good to 'talk' to people who understand what you are going through.
My big regret is that it didn't exist when DD was little (18 now) and I was feeling at my most isolated as DH was out of the house 12 hrs a day and I had no family nearby and my days were filled with watching Dale Winton on Supermarket Sweep and other such trash on TV

I have just been reading this thread and am so glad I posted itGrin

I know what you mean bigblue I didnt even have a computer when I tried to get Dd1 a diagnosis but MNSN would have definately given me the strength the fight for it.

It really is fab knowing if I've got a worry or just want to boast about a new development that you ladies know how I'm feeling.
Honks to everyone

I agree. I have learnt so much from reading here. I am about to start the statement process with DD and am feeling completely over awed with the whole thing and out of my depth. But all along I've been thinking - it's alright I'll post on MNSN and they will help me work it out.

I don't post often, but I read a lot and it really does help :)

A lovely thread to see after some of the discord in the campaign thread.

I would have been utterly lost without all the geese on this board, to give advice, support, hold my hand and generally always be there, with a kind hand and a wise word.

It has been an awful few weeks, with ds in hospital and some serious concerns over his lungs, and as lovely as my rl friends are, there is only one who really 'gets it', but, as always my mnsn friends have been by my side.

Thankyou, especially lovely mnetter who called earlier to see how I wasSmile

Poltergoose: sometimes just saying 'me too' is enough to make a difference

God yes!

Me too Wink

If it hadn't been for this board, and certain posters particularly, I would not have started the most amazing help for ds, wouldn't have got such a good statement, wouldn't have had the strength to fight, wouldn't have known where to start with anything, and wouldn't have anyone to make me feel better just by knowing someone else 'gets it' too.

My belated new year's resolution is to try and give as much help here as I have received.
