It's debatable as to whether it s a life form. DNA.

According to wiki they are "on the fringes of being alive". Maybe distract him with some googling!

A virus's entire reason for existence is to find a suitable cell to propagate its DNS (or RNA) in grin

Without a host, a virus is nothing.

Why does your DS want more bacteria? We are made up of more bacteria than we are cells. So realistically, he is bacteria grin

Ah, now you're getting into the meaning of life question - to which no answer has been found.
What is our reason on earth if not to also propagate our DNA?
Can you set DS on a quest to finally find the answer to why we are here at all grin

I have these conversations with DS. He would make a brilliant politician - always answers a question with a question if he doesn't want to say the answer that you want to hear.

mymatemax Fri 18-Jan-13 18:53:09

Aww your poor ds, i hope he feels better soon.
Its threads like this that remind me whata spectrum ASD is, whils ds2 has no clue what a virus or bacteria is or even how to say it but at least we dont have to contend with this sort of angst.

Lara2 Sat 19-Jan-13 12:27:45

Could be a conversation with DS2. I love that he cuts through the bullshit straight to the logical heart of an argument. Every committee should have an aspie on it! smile

WilsonFrickett Sat 19-Jan-13 12:32:50

Omg my DS on a comittee? Only if he could be the chair. And the Vice chair. And the Secretary. And everyone else. Because he is He Who Is Always Right And In Charge Of Fuffin Everything.

He'll move mountains that one <proud>

I think that in politics there should be a rule that there should be at least 1 member with aspergers and 1 with dyspraxia.
1 to see it and tell it as it is, and the other to work outside the box (as they've never been in it to start off with) grin

auntevil, you must mean this guy who seems to pull off the rare combination of being very clever, and a very nice man.

mariammama Sat 19-Jan-13 21:32:42

Poltergeist, would this article help you to nod sagely while he lectures you?
