Just got back from meeting with my solicitor to discuss pending Tribunal for SA.

AND LA HAVE BACKED DOWN AND AGREED!!!

Apparently LA were not happy with my EP report and wanted to correct inaccuries at a later date, but still.........

I can now take ds off role and HE until a plan is made to return him to education.

I am so happy, i even kissed the solicitor Grin

THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Claw - a mighty well done to you. Let 2013 be a very, very happy one. We are always going to have to be more involved than most in our kids' education but it never has to be as hard as you've had it.

Many congrats.

Bloody hell, claw! Grin

I've just spent an hour reading your thread and Star's mega thread on chat with all those people saying, 'well, why don't you just stop him from self harming... Hmm etc' and didn't know how to help at all.

That is brilliant, brilliant news. I hope you can now get the SW off your back, but if not, at least you have a way forward.

Thanks guys, i realise its only a small step in what will be a long haul and that he hasnt got a statement, but just a huge relief!!

I was driving to solicitors thinking what am i going to do if i dont win at Tribunal, just put up with ds being in school and self harming. If i withdraw him and HE, im going to look like a nutter who just wants to home ed, because i cant get my own way!

Now i can HE, without looking quite so nutty Grin

I can work with ds, at getting him back to where he should be a happy little 8 year old for starters and recieving an education.

Bloody hell is right Grin. I've been following your threads, and rarely comment, but I can't believe how hard you've had it.

Thank god, and be aware that you may find that your feelings become overwhelming in the days to come. All the pressure to date has to find a release somewhere.

Great news!

Yes, don't go completely nutty at the CIN meeting next week, will you. Though I expect you'll still have a big smile on your face...

Ellen, the other thread was helpful (although still a bit sad at some attitudes) it gave me some insight into how i am percieved by some people without knowledge of the system etc as you guys have. ie how it must look to SW

Rethinking the way in which others see you, is just as helpful as support, as i have to deal with SW types in RL constantly too.

I will now have to find out all there is to know about HE, social groups for kids out of school, have schedules etc for ds and he will thrive now the pressure of school has been removed for now.

Any attempt to get him back to education, can be done properly and gradually now and hopefully be a success.

Hopefully SW will end her involvement once she see education in place and if not it will be a hell of a lot easier working with her, without the constant pressure of return to school.

Brilliant start for the New Year Smile
Just be careful how many professionals you kiss - don't want you up on any harassment charges, or giving any fuel to the SWs Grin

Yes, there did seem to be a few SS posters and attitudes. Better to understand their points of view here rather than meet them first time in RL. Took me a while to understand that, though. I just wanted to shake them, but the posts were days old. Blush Your news came just after I'd finished reading them all. Smile

Claw - I am so pleased for you. You really deserve this, after all you've been put through.

Your son is going to massively benefit from this and i'm so pleased for him too.

You are a strong and fantastic mum and you and your son are so lucky to have each other.

Well done and Happy New Year Grin

When solicitor said "what are you expecting from this meeting today" i taken aback for a minute, thinking what the hell is he talking about, im here to talk about tribunal, then i replied jokingly "Not having to attend Tribunal would be nice" and he said "you dont" i jumped in the air and kissed him Blush

My first thought was i cant wait to get home and tell you guys!

So thanks to all of you, i really couldnt have done it without your support hence i didnt win "WE WON" honk and that Smile
