My ds loves halibo orange omega 3 but I am looking for something with omega 6 and 9.

Does anyone know of any product which has all three ? ( if not 2 of them?)

Thanks

the haliborange stuff does not contain a lot of omega-3 tbh.
we use eskimo3 (on phone cannot link) which has a lot of EPA. we use the adult version (tastes lemony). they also do a fruity kids version.

We are a veggie family, so use opti-3 which is of the green slime variety zzzzz is talking about.

The capsules are like horse pills, but we just put a little snip in them (you can use a pin) and squirt it either on his breakfast cereals, into a yoghurt or even onto the bread on his sandwich. They don't taste of anything really and ds never even notices we've done it.

They're relatively cheap with their 3 for 2 deal as well.

I know other people prefer a different balance of EPA to DHA though and I believe [[http://www.vegepa.com/ Vegepa] is the preferred brand for that.

If you do a quick MN search on Vegepa there are some old threads about others' experiences of using it.

Thanks all- just had a look at some old threads and saw EYE Q - might give that a try as it has a citrus version. Will also put Vegepa and Eskimo 3 on my list :)

DS is allergic to fish.
we are currently using the opti ones and moosemama is right they are enormous but DS has learnt to swallow them whole so we don't have that issue.
The vegepa ones were smaller tablets if that helps.

Kudos to your ds alison. I can't swallow them whole myself!

I think the thought of having to swallow the oil was enough of an incentive - we did have some at one point and apparently it tastes foul Grin.
(I also make DD take them as given DS's allergies she is lacking omega too and she did have more difficulty learning to swallow them without gagging but now she can)

UDo's oil? its vegan, has 3 6 and 9's and not at all fishy.
DS takes it as a capsule, but you can buy the straight oil

Thank you - just cancelled my order from amazon in the nick of time :)

The barlean's has been relegated to bottom of the list, although the seem to have yummy versions ( strawberry and banana, blueberry and pomegranate, mango and peach) They are also at an eye watering £29.99 for 16oz - yikes!!!

My dd, who is 5, loves the vegepa orange chewables. They are very orangey, they smell lovely.

DS who is 6 loves the Tutti Frutti Eskimo kids one - it tastes like bubble gum. Also comes in orange flavour too.

Sorry not read all the other threads but I was told that eyeQ was the purest mix of oils, highest quality etc. Always felt their liquids were fishy, capsules fine, if you can get child to swallow them whole. Now they have brought out eyeQ smooth in sachets, and I mix them with a drinky yogurt and no-one moans about fishy tastes, although I can smell it.
