Dh is upstairs reading the girls a story, and I have ds curled up on my lap watching Little Bear, and I don't know why but I suddenly feel wrecked and have tears pouring down my face. I think maybe the appointment we had with ds's paed followed by an exhausting holiday and ds having what could have been a fit, might have just all hit me and I have spent the day trying to keep ds happy whilst making Halloween decorations with the girls, and really I just want to crawl into a hole and cry and sleep.

I don't want to be crying when dh comes downstairs, please say something distracting!

sorry that you are desperate zzzzz, I will distract myself by trying to think up a fact equal to your glowy jelly one to provide you with distraction.

Hazey, my lovely DD has just got a job in Waitrose.

Now every time you pop in for ham/jelly/gin etc you can try and work out which one she is.

I was attacked by a goose on the way to work the other day - it also honked at me Hmm. Do you think it was trying to tell me something? Confused

I too had a little weep yesterday. Massive work changes and waiting for some scary blood test results. I am known to catastrophise just a little.

Must be the weather.

ps. Tis I. Multiplenamechanger can't remember who I've been recently.

Honk! Distracting... hmm...

Giraffes can go without water longer than a camel. They also have the same number of vertebrae in their necks as humans.

A cat?s ear has a total of thirty two muscles.

You cannot think of an English word to rhyme with the word month because there isn?t one.

The mute button is stuck on my crappy old laptop!

Not a veggy, although I was for 20 years, and I still prefer quorn to meat.

Oooh, to your dd working in Waitrose, I am nearly famous in there - as the woman who passed out when heavily pregnant at a till (and probably for being the woman who has absolutely no control overher children!)

This is all good, I have stopped crying, and am now craving a quorn sausage sandwich and a gin and tonic.

You are good good people.

zzzzz - for some reason the first distracting fact that popped into my head was the QI one about the only guaranteed cure for hiccups - I am now worried as to why that would be.

thankyouSmile

I think that I've had a shite day too, but just because I've sat and thought too much. The weather didn't help and DH is in Holland. Anyway off downstairs to make a large alcofrolic drink. Am on puke watch as DS3 is complaining of feeling sick. Packed off to bed with the Lego sick bucket. This is of course when I regret getting him a high sleeper. Hmm

Hazeyjane you've been on the emotional rollercoaster that is SN and Genetics. It's bound to hit you at some point, and its just because you need to vent. X
Besides Little Bear is dire....! Wink

SallyBear - I thought you were related to Little Bear. Grin

OK it is puke inducing but so much better than the crap that follows - just more mysogenistic in a traditional, old fashioned way! I miss that.

Honks, chocs, tissues and hardcore alchohol all round

I got mugged by a squirrel today - it wanted the monkey nuts in my bag, and so jumped on to dd's pram and launched itself onto my chest - lots of high pitched wailing from me and spinning around with the squirrel still hanging on. Then he hang-dropped onto my bag - there was more spinning until he let go. Obviously this squirrel was trying to kill me. Should I take this as an act of war by all squirrels and counter-attack?
