As a teacher and autism parent, I have to say that I find Gove to be the most repugnant of creatures. I actually find myself getting angry just looking at his self-righteous face.

Caring for a child like mine would cost the social care system upwards of 2K per week if they were to take him off my hands. Specialist foster care does not come cheap.

Tell you what I'll swap my lad for another non-sleeping lil so & so every night for one of yours and we'll both be quids in lol! It'd cover the costs of all the therapy that would benefit our kids that the NHS can't/won't provide. (How to fund full-time ABA the Tory way ).

Or if Gove promises to be the sole carer, I'll lend my lad to him to look after for one weekend. I can almost guarantee the ijeet would find a well-paid executive directorship on the other side of the globe first thing Monday morning.

I've stopped listening to Gove tbh. Noone is that stupid so I can only deduce that

b/ There is a plan to cope with the civil unrest that's on it's way to our shores shortly.

bochead it is most definitely delibrate, but I am afraid there is not going to be a civil unrest here, I just can't see it happening in Britain, can you? it would be a good thing if it did happen, because I cannot see how else you can stop these people intent on dismantling the state.

And another thing. Gove sent a massive copy of the King James Bible into every school. It had his name embossed onto it and clearly delivered his sermon that all comprehensives are god-forsaken places in need of redemption. But only if it's his approved Christian version of redemption.

For those feeling violent, could I suggest you use your local school's bible as your weapon of choice?

triggles, noooooooooooooo, I had avoided reading the thread in question, but now I have read what you posted and I am even more angry than I was.

Bochead I really don't know how to stop these people, I really would like to do something but feel so powerless. I am not even talking as a parent of a child with SN as I have no experience of dealing with LEA etc yet, but as a citizen who is concerned and pissed off at the overall unfairness of it all.
I just cannot believe that they have got away with murder (including the last lot, literally) and they are still in office and cashing cheques and not behind bars for causing so much damage to society.

I live in a pretty deprived area and just don't recognise the picture of modern parenthood described on that thread. People try and potty train asap if they can to save on the cost of nappies in poorer neighbourhoods. Likewise education is seen as all-important just cos it's human nature to want more out of life for your kids than you achieved iykwim.

So many "judgy" types around. So easy to point fingers and sneer at others while thinking "I'm all right Jack". Lots will kick off though big time with their whining when they FINALLY realise the changes impact their own lives too.

So the plan is
nurseries suggest children go under a cp order with possibility of getting taken into care.

Schools and LAs can avoid helping said children and blame the parent.

Request to SA I just read has no ties with a parental right to a reply! so therefore cannot go to a tribunal.

BUT

When the high IQ 6 foot 2 ASD or man emerges from care with zero education & social skills onto the streets, but full of rage and frustration? What happens then?

(Remember us parents will have been removed from the equation decades before.)

Those kids lucky enough to stay with their parents won't be accepted by these new fangled academies and free schools.

So sharp that ultimately he'll cut us all. I can only hope history gives his strategic social planning skills the recognition he deserves.

Lord... people wittering on about 2 year checks. We took DS2 in for regular checks, insisted that something was wrong with his development, and got fobbed off regularly. What good are more checks (which we all know won't be done by the surgery as they don't have the manpower) when the GP is not willing to refer to further assessment anyway??

I first raised my concerns to a developmental pead at 18 months. DS got his diagnosis aged 8 years, after a full on 4 year battle with the authorities on my part against exactly the kind of ignorant predjudice demonstrated on this thread.

My crime? I'm a single mother from the wrong postcode. Never mind that until all this I was a private school educated fully paid up graduate homeowning 40% tax payer, & the daughter of a teacher myself. None of that mattered in the face of the DM stereotype. (4 years of medical notes were "lost" along the way, by the GP btw).

I'm fast coming to the conclusion that the human race is devolving and the only thing that can save it is an invasion of aliens to sort out the government, just as DS suggests You can't fix stupid.
