Is there the slightest chance dd would like to go back to school to receive her prize.

<flexes mental muscles in preparation for a free for all>

Don't s'pose dd would be up for making a little impromptu acceptance speech when she gets her prize? grin

frizzcat Fri 19-Oct-12 13:08:11

Go to town Merlin - but have a glass of wine first, that will really get those typing fingers flowing - but most of all pretty please can we see what you send? smile

Ask HT point blank if she is mature enough to undo what she did. Explain the distress and upset she caused. Tell her you will allow dd back to school to collect her well deserved prize if they can insure it is the life affirming event it should be.

State categorically that you do not expect to hear, "we all thought you were rubbish, wherent you lucky" and you do expect to hear "I was totally wrong both to think you couldn't do it and to express as much in front of you. You have proved how wrong I was and we are all enormously proud of you"

Decide if you are going to attend when you have read their response. smile <malicious>

I would tell her to shove it so far up her arse that it comes out of her vile gob!!

But then thats just megrin

AgnesDiPesto Fri 19-Oct-12 14:29:55

In ethics, thats classic!
Given the HT might benefit from some education in ethics herself perhaps a speech (or t-shirt) along the lines of 'ethics are not just for exams, they are for life' on one side of the t-shirt and and a don't write me off logo on the other?

MsNg Fri 19-Oct-12 14:31:25

A pithy lecture on the practical applications of ethics?

zzzzz Fri 19-Oct-12 14:33:25

Ooh Agnes you da MaMa! I like the t-shirt idea

Doh! its the other way round though isn't it -dogs are for life not just for christmas, so should be ethics are for life not just for league tables / exams?

DameMargotFountain Fri 19-Oct-12 14:40:07

a little printed t-shirt with 'my A* doesn't count' on the back, for DD to wear as she strides onto the stage to curtsey at the HTs feet grin

zzzzz Fri 19-Oct-12 14:48:23

League table nil......kitten A*

grin

StarlightMcKenzie Fri 19-Oct-12 16:11:13

She'll need this

StarlightMcKenzie Fri 19-Oct-12 16:12:23

Btw. Tell your dd that we all knew she could do it and are proud of her!

zzzzz Fri 19-Oct-12 16:25:04

Perhaps star has the best idea and Kitten should be our first gosling embassador and present HT with a carrot from us all.

bialystockandbloom Fri 19-Oct-12 17:35:49

Front of t-shirt: Do you like apples?"
Back of t-shirt: A* How d'ya like them apples?

zzzzz Fri 19-Oct-12 17:51:46

bialy grin

Merlin YES!

StarlightMcKenzie Fri 19-Oct-12 17:59:33

Can anyone go?

Perhaps we could allow her the dignity of graceful acceptance but all rock up to support her holding OUR carrots?

As an aside no one said you should get the young genius drunk! Or did I miss something!
