Hello

We thought some of you might like to know about this week's blog debate, which pitches Tania Tirraoro, who blogs at Special Needs Jungle, against the current Culture Secretary and former Minister for Disabled People Maria Miller, on the subject of the Paralympics legacy. Do have a look if you've time - and let us know what you think on the bloggers talk thread (non-bloggers v welcome, as always).

Yes- let's have something on the planned sweeping reduction in the rights of SEN children under the new draft legislation. These proposals are not evidenced based and bear little relation to the responses gathered during the Green Paper consultation. Their impact will be enormous on children with SEN (most of whom can also be described as children with disabilities under the Equality Act).

This is the real Paralympic legacy - plus ca change...
