I have recently applied for DLA for ds. An fb friend who sent forms a few days after myself posted yesterday that she had received a call from DWP for more information and that they were making a decision that day.

My question is, does that mean that my application which was received as hers was posted will have been assessed, or are they not necessarily done in order of arrival.

I provided more in the way of proffs reports.

btw this was only just over two weeks, I thought it took at least 8 weeks.

I don't think we have any way of knowing tbh unless someone that actually works with the forms is willing to tell us unlikely.

From what I have read, it depends on the case and the area of the country. Some people on this board have had their decision with 2 weeks.

DWP wrote to me once they had received the DLA forms to say contact them if I hadn't had a decision in 8 weeks time. In each case, I got a decision at the 6 week point.

I also think it depends on what you provided on the form, and the supporting evidence you provided.
