SN children

Making hay while the sun shines and always adoring Beatrice.

I have chosen the thread title this time, because current circumstances means the sun isn't always shining for Beatrice at the moment. Indeed, she is currently in hospital in a fair amount of discomfort. However, when the sun does shine, and we have bright and clear days, we pack in as much as we can. Smile

When we brought Beatrice home from SCBU, we had the consultant's words ringing in our ears, 'Take her home and make some memories.' I feel confident and proud that we have made a treasure trove of memories, however long Beatrice's life may be. She continues to be surrounded by so much love and adoration from her family and I feel this love has helped her to thrive.

During the difficult days, such as these, we pray hard for peace and calm, and for a quick resolution so we can take our darling girl home and make even more precious memories with our beautiful Beatrice.

As with all other threads, same rules apply Wink, read if you want to, post if you can, but above all, please spare some positive thoughts or prayers for Beatrice. Smile

So pleased to be posting on another thread of celebration and hope for Beatrice. In awe of your wise words Cup at the start of this new thread. Giving thanks for all those treasured memories you have made and praying that you soon get the chance to make more. Glad you have comfort in that 'treasure trove' you have already made. x

Thanks for the lovely support.

Tests have confirmed that Beatrice has pneumonia again, poor thing. So they are going to start a new course of antibiotics and keep her on morphine for 24 hours or so to keep her pain-free while we get on top of the infection. Then comes the task of reducing her oxygen back down and getting her home.

I'm so thankful that she looks so much more comfortable than this time yesterday.

So pleased the morphine has made her more comfortable. Poor little lamb.

Don't know if you've seen but Mnet HQ have broken the 1000 post limit on your old thread and put a link there to this one so everybody from that should find you ok. There's also best wishes there for you and Bea from all at HQ Smile

Your opening post on this thread moved me to tears. How you remain so strong and composed under such trying circumstances amazes me.

I have thought of you all today. I held Bea in my heart and thoughts during morning assembly and thought of her in our prayers.

She's a strong, strong girl, that one. Gets it from her mum. xxx

So sorry to hear Bea is unwell again and hope she feels better soon as the morphine does its work.

I can remember reading your first thread about Bea and your wondering at the time whether you would get to finish that thread, and here she is on yet another new thread with all of us sending our positive thoughts and best wishes.

She really is a remarkable child who has the capacity to touch so many hearts. She has made so many memories for all her family and hopefully will continue to do so for some time yet.

Keep strong Cup and be kind to yourself also.

So glad that they seems to have found a cause for Bea's distress, and that she is more settled now. Hoping and praying that the new antibiotics do the trick. Have you remembered the Cavalon sticks for Bea's bottom in case the antibiotics have unpleasant side effects? We don't want poor little Bea to have a horribly sore bottom again!!
Take care of yourself. Hope you manage to have a settled night and get some sleep.
