There are some metro stations which are wheelchair-friendly - I think there was a thread earlier this summer about Paris. We used the "batobus" to get between the major sights - some of the stops have easy access, but not all, and it's a nice rest on the river after a lot of walking. They run quite late into the evening too if you want to go and see the Eiffel Tower lit up. Don't forget to ask about free/reduced/front of the line entry for people in wheelchairs and person pushing chair to museums, attractions etc.
