what are the funny things your dcs say or have done....

DS told my MIL she looks younger than you mummy (looking at mil) her hairs not as grey as yours.

at 6 taking everything literal ds said when dishing up our tea not his as he wouldnt eat fish
"mummy I didnt know fish had fingers?

or what stupid things have the "professionals said...

out of all the traits and things ds didnt do at the appointment the EP points out as if its more important than anything else he did or didnt do or didnt understand and should have during assesment,
"But he really knows his gasses, doesnt he" Hmm brilliant he cant write hes behind in everything and is very immature for his age but if he wants to blow something up he's got all the credentials

and "I don?t know much about it but I?m willing to learn", why thanks you do that at my dcs expense.

I can't really add anything as my DS can't talk but I thought I'd share something he does which makes me giggle (His OT describes him as having little to no comprehension of his surroundings)

But everytime his little brother crawls over to him, he will steal his dummy out of his mouth and either put it behind his back, hold it above his head or sit on it. While DS2 frantically crawls round or stretches trying to reach it! It makes me chuckle everytime and think to myself you know exactly what's going on around you :)

I told DS he was having a break from school and he told me school is broken.:)

We have also started toilet training for which he has a visual support with words and he loves reading the words for wee and poo and was spelling P.O.O at the top of his voice in the swimming pool.

DS woke up this morning, DD had sprained her foot yesterday on skateboard. DS said I got to rest too as I got a sore leg, a scratched leg, a bruise on that bit and a bump on that bit. I said "oh gosh you are doing well arent you" He jumped up and said NOOOO its not well at all thats nasty mum!

Yesterday DS was bored so I said well tell you what we will take a drive to Marks & Spencers and pick out some new school uniform. "Great he said can we ALL have MacDonalds?" I said there is only you and me going and he said "What about Mark and Spencer? they cant go hungry!" Grin

DS has hidden all of his and his sister's socks under my pillow 'so they are safe from looters'.

Admirable sentiment, but why socks? His beloved Playmobil Fire Service has been left to fend for itself, along with the dinosaurs, Mog books and other 'precious things'.

Today my DS forgot about shadows. And he was crawing on the floor with the dog in a right tiz because a black thing was following him. Explained it was a shadow and that the dog had one too. The reply I got was "right ok, he can stay but if he pinches my sandwiches I am not going to be happy!" Grin

Ooh, ooh!

According to Dnephew (4 in 2 weeks, NT) who is here to stay to give Mum some respite, I have a orange fish and a drown fish.

If someone gets hurt they go to hostipal

Hmm

I didn't want to start yet another thread about an NT child mispronouncing words, so hope you don't mind me sharing on this one?

Dd2 (3) made me laugh yesterday, we have a new (boy) puppy, and she pointed to his genitalia and signed "Look. Wobbly. Funny." Blush :o

vera your post about the puppy made me laugh! Grin

Our dog (just 12months) has a "thing" about my DS giant Eeyor and giant teddy. First time he got amorous to say the least I got a "mum! mum! ring 999 the dog is hurt!" Grin

:o coff33pot luckily our puppy isn't getting amorous yet.

But had to praise DD2 for really good signing, as she doesn't often use more than 2 signs together.

On the bus yesterday I was feeling sympathetic to the stressed out mum of three whose toddler was running her ragged. Dd (ASD) on the other hand declared loudly "I am so pleased I don't have a mean mummy like that. You are never unkind to me are you mummy?" Blush I gave up trying to hush her when she repeated it louder to get her point across Grin

I left the dd's in the car the other week whilst i ran into the post office (gone for 1 minute), i come back dd'2 is screaming and dd1 is shouting 'help mummy, dd2 is having another breakdown!' (she ment meltdown and dd2 was not having one she was just crying as dd1 disagreed on something). Grin.

Dd1 watches a lot of you-tube videos and coppies them, at the moment her favorite videos are 'anoying orange' on one of them the boy says 'he likes it as much as old people like chicken'. One day my mum came over, walked up to dd1 and dd1 looked at her and said 'nanny, do you like chicken?', nanny says 'yes', dd1 says 'of course you do nanny, because you are old' Grin (nanny was slightly shocked).

"When I touch my tentacles, my tummy goes all funny" Grin (my DS thinks his testicles are called tentacles, it's too funny to correct him!!)

We were in the car this morning when Dd3 randomly said " I wonder how many potatoes they used to make the snow flakes in the first one?"

Of course I had absolutly no idea what she was talking about but after some serious questioning it turns out the they used potato flakes to make the snow in the High School Musical film!!

She does this to me all the time.

She had read about it in her annual apparentlyGrinGrin.

Ineeda, my Nana used to say stuff like that all the time. She died age 81 never knowing that we'd missed half of every conversation she ever had because she started it halfway through! Grin

My 13 year old DD often says funny things as she's a bit if a literal thinker. Me and my partner were having a conversation and he said that saying "you wouldn't pee on em if they were on fire springs to mind!" she responded by saying "that's right Dad, you'd tell em to stop, drop and roll!"
We were watching a music channel and the song Buck Rogers by Feeder was on and she wanted to know why the song was called Buck Rogers when they weren't singing about anyone called Roger!!
My NT 4 year old comes out with some pearlers too! On a countryside walk I said don't step on that cow poo! He replied "that can't be poo, there's no flies on it!" and when he got brain freeze whilst eating his ice cream he declared "that ice cream made me dance"!

Remember youngests little hand creeping over the worktop where i was peeling/chopping onions. He pinched a bit and ran off.
Then he came back and announced "I don't like onions, they make me cry, I like tomatoes, they make me laugh" Grin

When ds1 was four, he stood right in front of the telly so i said "ds1 you make a better door that a window" he said "what you mean mummy?" so I said "you can see through windows" so he then climbed up onto a speaker and looked out of the window, turned to look at me, puzzled and said "no you cant, its dark!"

ds2 says he's putting his cocks on, instead of socks, I giggle every time, and ds1 still mispronounces things and I find my self giggling at that too. He's now 9.
