I applied a couple months ago for my 4yo son who has probable autism and speech delay, and is in nappies etc.
Was told I should have gone to CAB for help, by support worker, as most people who try applying themselves have to appeal to get it awarded.
But I thought I'd give it a go myself. Hoping to get middle rate.

WELL am I shocked and happy.
We got higher rate care component :-o
But no mobility.

And apparently tax credits will go up??
Which I'm unsure about.

But this is FANTASTIC the money will help so much.

Just thought I'd share =)

Woop :D

Yeah!
Thats good news, we are just about to reapply and very worried ours will be reduced.
You can apply for low rate mobility at 5 (not available under 5) and much easier to get than HRM

Yy low rate mobility from 5 only. Contact tax credit helpline, they will backdate to the start of the award. It is worth doing- our tax credits went up to just over £100 per week. Congrats btw, I found the form heart breaking to fill in, but worth it in the end Grin
